Gather 'round, children and families, and I'll tell you about an exciting historical character--the Magician BAFFLIN' BILL CODY. I look just like Cody did a hundred and fifty years ago, with long hair and familiar goatee. My costume includes fringed leather jacket, matching bone breastplate and hat decorations, Indian made magic wand, with double hands full of turquoise nugget jewelry. My appearance is easily recognizable by all ages--even people from other countries recognize my resemblance to the familiar Western scout and showman. Of course I can also work in suit or tuxedo if you prefer--but why? Whether I’m performing on stage or closeup in your living room, I can mystify the public--AT YOUR COMMAND!
MY FAMILY-CLEAN COMEDY ACT will bring live entertainment to your guests on stage-- or closeup at brunch, banquet, or barbecue. Interactive magic effects with live audience participation ALLOWS PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE REAL MAGIC while they're seated in the front row!
As a comedy entertainer I can also ENTERTAIN PEOPLE STANDING IN LINE, so if your event’s buffet table or reception area are crowded, the patrons will have some entertainment while they're waiting. In a restaurant I perform several 10-12 minute shows in an hour, and move among the seated audience. In your private residence I'd work in the kitchen, the living room, the backyard, or wherever people gather. I can entertain sales staff in an office conference room, conventioneers in a hospitality suite, wedding rehearsal guests, or kids at a birthday. My act will charm children, amaze adults, and entertain everyone!
ALL THE PROPS AND STORIES in the Bafflin’ Bill act were developed after research back to South Dakota to attend their Pow-Wows. I've constructed Coup Stick and Spirit Drum, purchased chipped arrowheads and obsidian knife, and even use a replica 1860s saber to find your card from the deck--it ends up on the tip of the sword! (I’ll avoid this effect if your school has a zero-tolerance policy against swords.) I am now researching Lakota hand Sign Language to add to the act as well as including their mysticism and legends, as well as biographical material I'd learned about the original Buffalo Bill Cody. That gives me unique Lakota story lines for familiar Magic effects. Spectators may examine and handle these props of course.
CODY’S FULL STAGE SHOW plays all the way to the back of the house; There are no stage sets, lighting cues, or sound requirements. I use audience participation in every effect, so there are laughing spectators in the spotlight who pick a card, shuffle the deck, and examine the props. I treat people politely onstage and thank them for their help with a big round of applause, so they'll never be embarrassed. I can use VIPs suggested by the host or take volunteers who raise their hands. When they return to their seats they take the memories of pleasant, funny entertainment home with them in their hearts and memories forever.
YES– I SAW A VOLUNTEER IN HALF. . .and return him or her to duty afterward! I have performed this scary-but-safe act on school librarians and principals, outgoing group presidents, birthday children and adults, and even police officers! For a big outdoor benefit for the Crime Victims’ Fund, I built a huge TV set to vanish one officer’s
Harley-Davidson--- then I sawed another police officer in half. You will soon see my video of this 1991 Crime Victims' Fund show on YouTube, dude!
